Brussel always changes

Passing through my neigbourhood, the European Headquarters of Brussels, I always find new ways to use my camera. Even on a sunday afternoon, my fingers were almost frozen!

Another one of my hobbies is using mirrors to make pictures. This one taken in a park nearby Schuman square. If you look carefully you can see I just went to the R-Factory this weekend...

Where art meets glass

This picture is of a bowl of glass made in Brussels.

Inside are certain tools used to prevent something.
If you can guess the meaning, let me know.

Or else ask Septy Bechou,
the glass sculpture designer
from Brussels, Ixelles.

Where politics and art meet

Everyday you see it everywhere in Brussels...
Designer statues, buildings and housing creating the new Brussels style, a mixture of art nouveau and art design.
I do have to say the old style attracts me, but the new style refering to the European Commission misses a bit of tact.
Still, looking from a strange point of view at art, things may look better. Taking in regard that it is all paid by us, the taxpayers, we might as well enjoye it!

Saturday 21 january - Craziness

The night is young, what should be the slogan for a saturday....

I thought about this visiting the famous Delhaize supermarket.
The logo of Delhaize caught my attention.
Hereby a version suited for a saturday in Brussels.

2006........... A NEW year a NEW challenge!

So here we are.... 2006!!

Shouldn't cars be flying and girls be cute and nice? Or does that only happen in the movies... Anyway I had my piece of cake and ate it too. Meaning I had plenty of raclette cheese, champagne and ofcourse the famous Gluhwein. Why don't they serve Gluhwein the whole year?

That's the question I should not pose myself.
I should be making some good intentions for 2006...
Ofcourse I could go for the easy ones : more sport and more fun.
Morelikely I would go for more salary, more ambition and more mindblasting tasks!

Ofcourse also plenty of good photos to be taken in 2006.
Hereby a photo of 2005 Xmas market Brussels.
Isn't it just lovely...
